[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, Barcelona is set to return to Camp Nou, marking a challenging yet hopeful phase in its reconstruction. Since November 2022, the renovation of the stadium – now named “Spotify Camp Nou” – has officially begun. Barcelona is now looking forward to returning to its home ground. It has been reported that Barcelona will make its first appearance at the renovated Spotify Camp Nou on September 13 or 14, 2025, facing Valencia. Although the opening date has been officially announced, Barcelona has prepared a backup plan in case the match cannot be held at the new stadium. Initially, the Ganso Cup on August 10 was considered as a ceremonial event, but the plan was canceled due to incomplete licenses and safety work at the Tribuna and Gol Sur stands. As a result, Barcelona will start the season on the road and is expected to return home one month later for the grand opening of the new stadium. Phased re-opening: from 27,000 to more than 105,000 spectators. The new Spotify Camp Nou will not be fully occupied on the first day. According to the city’s approved plan, the re-opening will be staged. In the first phase, the number of spectators will be limited to about 27,000, only in the Tribuna and Gol Sur stands.
