[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, Barcelona has freed up a significant amount of financial space through various operations this summer. It is reported that Barcelona has already registered Joan Garcia and Marcus Rashford, releasing about €36 million in salary space. This is mainly based on two key concepts: one is the amortization of player salaries, allowing the club to release 60% of the salary cost; the other is income from selling or transferring players, where Barcelona can receive 20% of the profits. The latest development is Jules Kounde’s contract extension. Originally, his contract ran until 2027, with a total transfer fee of €50 million over five years, amortized at €1 million per year. After the extension, his contract runs until 2030, and the remaining €20 million in transfer fees not yet amortized will now be amortized over five years, equivalent to €400,000 per year, thus freeing up €600,000. According to fair play rules, 60% of the salary amortization means this extension has created about €400,000 in fair play space for Barcelona. Previously, Barcelona had already released €21 million in space through player sales. In addition, Barcelona reached a sponsorship deal with the Republic of the Congo government for €40 million, or €1 million per season. Combined with these operations, Barcelona has created a total of €46 million in fair play space in its pursuit of the 1:1 rule.
