[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, 29-year-old Clement Lenglet has performed well during his loan at Atletico Madrid, regaining a starting position as a result. Atletico Madrid has recently achieved eight consecutive victories in various competitions, and the French defender has excelled, starting in eight of the last nine matches and scoring in the last two games. Barcelona is optimistic about his future transfer prospects, hoping he can increase his market value through his performances at Atletico and be sold. Reports indicate that although Lenglet sat on the bench for the first eight matches of the season, he took advantage of teammate Robin Le Normand’s injury to showcase his solid defending and excellent passing ability, gradually becoming an important player for Diego Simeone. The French defender’s market value has dropped from €60 million during his time at Barcelona to €5 million currently. Barcelona acquired him for €35 million in 2018, and the amortization is now complete. Although Atletico does not have a buyout option, he is expected to attract interest from several European clubs, having previously rejected an offer from Saudi Arabia.
