[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, ticket sales for Barcelona’s match against Paris Saint-Germain were “chaotic,” even displeasing the 16,515 members who had priority rights due to purchasing two-year season tickets for Montjuic. These privileged members received a text message last Saturday notifying them that the ticket sales process for the Barcelona vs. PSG match was interrupted due to technical issues. The bigger problem, however, was that these members, and all members in general, were unaware that ticket sales had actually begun. At 12:00, members received an email informing them of a 24-hour priority purchase window for the PSG match tickets. Yet, just six minutes later, another email announced that the technical issues were resolved and tickets were available for purchase. This meant the club started sales before properly notifying its members. Many missed out as a result, showcasing a complete lack of professionalism in management. Another issue is pricing. Barcelona’s member services office has already received complaints about ticket prices, specifically noting that a main stand ticket for a match at the Estadi Johan Cruyff costs €78, whereas a main stand ticket for the Champions League match against PSG at Montjuic Stadium is only €37. A further issue affecting a minority of members is that the club deemed their two-year season tickets for the Montjuic supporters’ section invalid, thus denying them the privilege to purchase tickets like other loyal fans.
