[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, after Bayer Leverkusen’s 0-0 draw against Bayern Munich last weekend, a Leverkusen fan directed insults at goalkeeper Manuel Neuer from the stands. Frustrated by the draw, a Leverkusen fan used the most vile language to insult Bayern Munich’s Neuer. It was reported that Neuer was at the goal area picking up his water bottle and towel when he was positioned right in front of the home fans’ section. At that moment, inappropriate and loud insults echoed through the stadium via the PA system, including “dog xx” and “xx mom,” with these offensive remarks being repeated several times. However, Neuer remained remarkably calm, returning to his teammates with a nonchalant demeanor and even kicked the ball back along the way. The video of this disgraceful incident quickly went viral online, and no fans could understand such behavior. In response, Bayer Leverkusen stated, “We are aware of this incident, and Leverkusen strongly condemns this behavior. The person who made these unacceptable insulting remarks through the PA system has disqualified himself. Unfortunately, we currently do not know the identity of this person.”
