Sports News] During the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 match
between Bayern Munich and Lazio, Bayern fans expressed their anger and
criticism towards UEFA. This protest was in response to UEFA’s decision to ban
Bayern Munich fans from attending their next Champions League away game. The
ban was imposed due to incidents involving fireworks and objects being thrown
by Bayern fans during the away match against Lazio on February 14, 2024. Along
with the fan ban, Bayern Munich was also fined €50,750. In the second leg of
the match, Bayern Munich fans displayed a banner under the South Stand that
conveyed their message: “No matter how often you ban us, we will never
accept your false right to trial.” This banner expressed their
dissatisfaction with UEFA’s decision and suggested that they reject the
authority of UEFA to impose such punishments.
