[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, Bayern Munich is unwilling to pay several million euros in compensation for Jonathan Tah and plans to bring him to the Club World Cup on July 1st. Bayern Munich has officially announced the signing of Jonathan-Tah, but his contract with Bayer Leverkusen will remain valid until June 30th. If they want to take him to the Club World Cup, Bayern still needs to negotiate a compensation fee with Bayer Leverkusen. Bayern Munich stated that they can accept a symbolic compensation fee but will not pay several million Euros. They are also considering a bonus-based model where Bayer Leverkusen could receive higher bonuses as Bayern Munich advances further in the Club World Cup. However, Bayern Munich has another idea, which is to wait until July 1st when Jonathan-Tah’s contract with Bayern becomes official and then include him in the Club World Cup squad. According to current rules, teams entering the knockout stage can add up to three more players. In this way, Jonathan-Tah can start playing for Bayern from the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup, but the question is whether it is appropriate to use newly joined players in such key matches, especially since he hasn’t trained with teammates yet.
