[Saba Sports News] With one season remaining until the 2026 season, the significant overhaul of F1 race regulations has left many teams at a disadvantage, primarily due to major changes in engine rules. Starting in 2026, F1 cars will continue to use 1.6-liter V6 engines, but there will be adjustments to fuel usage and power extraction from hybrid components, along with the removal of the MGU-H heat recovery system. F1 cars will fully utilize 100% sustainable fuel, ensuring that fossil fuels are no longer used and harmful emissions are reduced. Overall, the participation of six manufacturers in power unit production will diversify and intensify the competitive landscape. The new regulations encourage engine suppliers to innovate technically to enhance car performance and reliability. I believe that the engine rule changes will impact drivers in various ways, including adjustments to driving style and technique, car performance and competitive dynamics, safety and reliability challenges, as well as driver feedback and adaptation. Drivers need to actively respond to these challenges and continuously improve their competitive levels to adapt to the changes brought by the new regulations.
