The club emphasized that Boateng had no contractual or official relationship with them and that his visit was solely part of his coaching education in order to obtain his coaching license, not a formal invitation for sports or representative purposes from the club. Barcelona also reaffirmed their commitment to fighting gender-based violence and apologized for any conflicting impressions caused by the situation. From a career perspective, Boateng’s two failed internship opportunities due to controversy suggest that his transition into coaching will be more challenging than for other players. For sports figures with public influence, off-field ethical and legal issues are often amplified. If Boateng hopes for a successful career transition, he must not only complete his professional courses but also continuously rebuild public trust through positive behavior, instead of avoiding past controversies.
