News] During the 26th round of the English Championship, Southampton’s home
game against Plymouth, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made an appearance at
the stadium to support the Saints. According to British media reports, before
taking his seat, Sunak engaged with the caddies, giving each of them a
high-five and inquiring if it was their first time serving as caddies. The
children enthusiastically responded in the affirmative. Sunak expressed his
envy, mentioning that he had always desired to do the same as a child but never
had the opportunity. Prior to kick-off, Sunak waved to the crowd in the stands
and took photos with some Southampton fans. It is known that Sunak developed
his loyalty to the Saints from his father, and he has previously expressed that
if he were not involved in politics, he would aspire to be the manager of
Southampton Football Club. Undoubtedly, Sunak can be regarded as one of
Southampton’s most dedicated fans.
