[Saba Sports News] Bronny James’ second NBA Summer League game was not much better than his first, prompting him to address his performance.
The Los Angeles Lakers rookie shot just 3-for-14 from the field in Friday’s 99-80 loss to Houston, including 0-for-8 from three-point range and three turnovers.
After the game, Bronny admitted, “I just feel like I’m in a little slump right now,” according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
Through two games, James has shot 6-for-26 overall and has yet to make a three-pointer in 12 attempts. He faces extra scrutiny as a high-profile second-round pick, but his start as a shooter has been discouraging.
Bronny has been dealing with a minor injury, which may be affecting his shooting. Regardless, he is young and untested, requiring significant refinement and experience to become NBA-ready.
