[Saba Sports News] On the evening of August 14, 2024, at around 8:00 PM, Lamine Yamal’s father, Mounir Nasraoui, was stabbed by a young man named Adria in the Rocafonda neighborhood of Mataro, Barcelona. After the incident, Adria and his father, brother, and a friend were arrested and charged with assault. Adria was imprisoned on August 16 and will be released in January 2025. After his release, the four defendants, including Adria, hired lawyers and sued Mounir Nasraoui, claiming that Mounir had attacked first. The incident began when Adria’s two-year-old nephew urinated on Mounir while he was passing by downstairs. A quarrel followed, and they met at a nearby parking lot to settle the matter. During the confrontation, Mounir hit Adria first, breaking his nose, and the knife used was owned by one of Mounir’s friends. Then Adrià took the knife from the other side and stabbed Mounir twice. Now, the case has taken an unexpected turn. The third judicial office in Mataro is investigating Adria’s appeal and may charge Mounir with assault.
