[Saba Sports News] Last week, following Chelsea’s defeat to Aston Villa,
one of the club owners, Behdad Eghbali, disregarded Todd Boehly’s objections
and entered the the dressing room. However, Eghbali did not address the players
directly. Instead, he shook their hands, patted their backs, and conveyed his
well wishes to coach Mauricio Pochettino. It has been revealed that Eghbali has
purchased a house in London and intends to attend Chelsea’s home games at
Stamford Bridge. Some fans have remarked that such practices of owners entering
the locker room are common in the United States but not as prevalent in the UK,
and it may have an unintended effect.
