[Saba Sports News] The ICC Cricket World Cup is set to begin from October 5 to November 19, featuring a campaign opener between 2019 finalists England and New Zealand at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
\The Netherlands cricket team, along with Sri Lanka, secured their spot in the tournament after topping the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 held in Zimbabwe. They have arrived in India for their preparation camp and selected four local bowlers from over 10,000 applicants. Lokesh Kumar, a Swiggy delivery driver from Chennai, was one of the chosen bowlers, expressing his joy at being recognized for his skills.
The other three selected bowlers are Hemant Kumar, a left-arm pacer from Churu, Rajasthan, who has experience with IPL teams; Rajamani Prasad, a net bowler for Chennai Super Kings and a Hyderabad Cricket Association member from Telangana; and Harsh Sharma, a left-arm orthodox spinner from Haryana, who has excelled in university championships and was part of the RCB camp in Mumbai in 2022.
