[Saba Sports News] According to recent reports from Italian media, Inter has officially changed ownership to an American consortium. Former chairman, Chinese businessman Steven Zhang (Zhang Kangyang), has stepped down from his position at Inter. However, China Construction Bank, which is currently involved in a lawsuit against Zhang Kangyang, has not yet received the money owed to them. The bank filed the lawsuit in Italy last year, stating that outside of China, Suning Group acquired 70% of Inter’s shares. Despite Zhang Kangyang’s ownership of luxury sports cars valued at over 8 million and luxury watches worth nearly 15 million, most of these assets are not directly held in his name, making it difficult for the creditor to access them. Since Suning Group acquired the majority shares of Inter in June 2016, the club has achieved significant success, winning multiple championships and reaching the finals of the Europa League and Champions League in 2020 and 2023 respectively.
