[Saba Sports News] Recently, the draw for the Paris World Championships was officially released, revealing the schedules for each event. Notably, China’s badminton team has the strongest lineup in the mixed doubles category, with four pairs participating. Feng Yanzhe/Huang Dongping, as the top seed, are stationed in the top half of the bracket in the 1/4 section. They will have a bye in the first round and may face the winner between the Hong Kong pair Tang Chun Man/Xie Yingxue and a qualifier in the second round. Their potential quarterfinal opponent could be the Malaysian pair Chen Tangjie/Toh Eewei or the Chinese Taipei pair Yang Bohsuan/Hu Lingfang. Jiang Zhenbang/Wei Yaxin are in the 2/4 section and also have a bye in the first round, making their path relatively easy. Guo Xinwa/Chen Fanghui are in the 3/4 section and also have a bye in the first round. Cheng Xing/Zhang Chi are in the 1/4 section as well, also with a bye in the first round. They may face the Thai pair Ruttanapak Oupthong/Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat or a qualifier in the second round. Overall, all four Chinese mixed doubles pairs are among the world’s best, with strong performances throughout the season. If they play normally, meeting in the semifinals or even the final is not impossible, making this the most promising event for China to win the title.
