[Saba Sports News] The long-awaited International Challenge in China has received the latest updates. The Chinese Badminton Association announced that the event is planned to be held from October 28 to November 2. Players from all over the world will gather for an intense showdown. Notably, this tournament will adopt a brand-new “best of 3, 15-point” scoring system. The best of 3, 15-point system uses a two-out-of-three format, with each set decided by the first to reach 15 points. A break will occur at the 8th point of each set to allow athletes to adjust. If the score reaches 14-14, the winning side must win by at least 2 points to end the set, with a maximum score limit of 21 points per set. This rule change breaks away from the traditional 21-point format, greatly testing athletes’ tactical adaptability and stamina distribution strategies, thereby significantly increasing the suspense of the tournament. We believe that this will further ignite the enthusiasm for mass sports and promote the popularization and development of badminton. It is also a crucial stepping stone for badminton players to advance to higher competitive stages. They will compete in this tournament for world ranking points and substantial prize money, making their competitive level and influence undeniable.
