[Saba Sports News] At the recently held 86th Annual General Meeting of the Badminton World Federation (BWF), Zhang Jun, chairman of the Chinese Badminton Association (CBA), was elected as a member of the BWF Council. Zhang Jun’s entry into the BWF Council allows him to directly participate in decision-making processes regarding international badminton affairs. With greater influence on key issues such as rule-making and event scheduling, this position enables China to advocate for a more favorable development environment for badminton, enhancing China’s role in international badminton decisions and better protecting the interests of Chinese badminton athletes and related professionals. It also strengthens exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries’ badminton associations, promoting the integration of Chinese badminton with global standards, while learning from advanced training methods, management experiences, and event organization models abroad. This will improve the overall level of Chinese badminton and help spread China’s successful experiences and concepts internationally. The editor believes that Zhang Jun’s election as a BWF Council member is a joyous event for the Chinese badminton community and plays an important role in advancing the development of Chinese badminton on the international stage.
