[Saba Sports News] According to motorsport.com, one month after being unexpectedly dismissed, former Red Bull F1 team principal Christian Horner has formally stepped down from his director positions in several British-registered Red Bull companies. Horner was removed from his roles as team principal and CEO just days after the British Grand Prix, ending his 20-year tenure in Milton Keynes. This adjustment was part of a decision by Red Bull shareholders to reduce his extensive authority and allow Austrian management to take greater control. The parent company appointed Laurent Mekies, former AlphaTauri team principal, to replace Horner, but his responsibilities will be more focused on the Red Bull Racing team itself. Although Horner was immediately relieved of his operational duties in July, legally, he remained a director of several British-registered companies, including Red Bull Racing, Red Bull Technology, Red Bull Power Unit, and Red Bull Power Unit 2026. However, recent documents from the UK Companies House show that Horner has officially resigned from the director positions of these four companies within the past 48 hours, indicating that Red Bull may have reached a settlement agreement with the 51-year-old former team principal.
