[Saba Sports News] According to the latest report from American media, there are still many unsold tickets for the opening match of the Club World Cup. Despite the participation of football superstars such as Lionel Messi in the opening match, it has not attracted enough audience to purchase tickets. Therefore, FIFA has collaborated with Miami Dade College to offer single tickets priced at 20 to students of the college, promising up to four additional free tickets. Ticket buyers need to verify their identity using the college email, and if they successfully obtain five tickets, it is equivalent to spending only 4 for one seat. The organizer hopes that low prices will attract the student group to increase the number of live spectators, improve the broadcast effect and atmosphere of the game on-site, avoid the feeling of the event being cold, and maintain the brand image of the event. The editor believes that this may be related to the unstable ticket price strategy, which has continuously dropped significantly since last December until just before the competition. Such an unstable pricing strategy may make consumers wait for lower prices and also make people feel that the event’s value is not high, thus reducing the willingness to buy tickets.
