[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media, construction at Camp Nou will be expedited during the off-season. The Gamper Trophy will be held again in mid-August, ahead of the new La Liga campaign. Concrete pouring for the third tier stand has been fully completed, with welding work now underway, followed by waterproofing treatment. Seat installation will commence in the coming weeks. The club aims to fully open the third tier for the 2026/27 season in phases, just like the first two tiers. The first phase will cover wing areas and partial seats behind both goals. Though the club avoids releasing exact dates to prevent misunderstanding caused by previous delays, the first expansion is expected to finish in October.
The editor believes that speeding up construction progress in the coming months is crucial to achieving the goals. It is equally important to accelerate the approval procedures with the Barcelona municipal government.
