[Saba Sports News] According to Sabasports, a Spanish court has denied Barcelona’s request to re-register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor in La Liga. The La Liga league released a statement claiming this decision upholds fair competition. This summer, Barcelona initially could not meet La Liga’s financial regulations to register Olmo and Pau Victor, but due to injuries to players like Ronald Araujo, they sought to utilize La Liga’s special rules to register Olmo and Pau Víctor until the end of the year, after which they would need to re-register. Barcelona took La Liga to court, arguing that after signing a new sponsorship deal with Nike, they met the financial requirements. However, the court supported La Liga’s view, stating that Barcelona still needed around €60 million in revenue to meet the requirements. La Liga’s statement read: “Our financial regulations apply to all clubs, and no club should receive exemptions that affect the environment of fair competition.”
