[Saba Sports News] September 28 was decided as the deadline for all the participating teams in the ODI World Cup 2023 to announce their final squads.
While most of the sides made no changes in their initial squad, injury woes in the Indian and Australian camps forced them to tweak their contingent a bit.
Axar Patel’s injury called for the inclusion of Ravichandran Ashwin, while Australia asked Marnus Labuschagne to stay in India and made him a member of the World Cup squad in place of Ashton Agar, who is yet to recover from a calf injury.
