Sports News] According to reports from British media, Chelsea have entered into
a sleeve sponsorship agreement with the cryptocurrency company BingX, with an
annual fee surpassing £10 million. It is reported that Chelsea aim to finalize
the multi-year deal in time for their Carabao Cup semi-final first leg match
against Middlesbrough next week, where they plan to display BingX’s logo.
Starting from the following season, BingX will also be featured on the front of
Chelsea’s training uniforms. It is worth noting that Chelsea’s previous
cryptocurrency partner, WhaleFin, terminated its £20 million annual sleeve
sponsorship agreement in the middle of the 2022-23 season, which highlighted
the potential risks associated with collaborations with cryptocurrency
companies. Nevertheless, Chelsea remain eager to boost revenue and had started
the season without a shirt sponsor until securing a £40 million sponsorship
deal with Infinite Athlete in September. The opinion of Chelsea fans regarding
this new sponsorship agreement may vary. Some fans might appreciate the
additional financial support for the club, while others may have concerns about
the association with the cryptocurrency industry. Ultimately, the fan response
will depend on individual perspectives and opinions.
