[Saba Sports News] According to British media, Crystal Palace co-owner John Turturro is facing a lawsuit from the current Benfica and former Wolves manager Bruno Miguel Silva for failing to fulfill a contract. It is reported that Bruno accused the American businessman of signing a contract, promising to use his power as the majority shareholder of Selhurst Park Stadium and French giant Lyon to offer him a head coach position in one of the teams. The contract reportedly covers the period from January 1st to April 15th of last year and was signed after Bruno became the manager of Botafogo, a Brazilian team under Turturro. After being dismissed by Botafogo, Bruno remained unemployed during the so-called “competition period” before accepting the job at Benfica. It is known that the “retention agreement” signed by Turturro will provide Bruno and his team with a fixed-term contract of at least two years, with an annual salary of £3.6 million. The contract also states that if such a position is not provided within the agreed period, Turturro will pay Bruno the amount before April 29th last year. In addition, Bruno also demands interest, costs, and further or other relief deemed appropriate by the court, totaling £5.9 million.
