[Saba Sports News] Recently, during an interview with media, Copa del Rey trophy designer recalled the incident during the 2010-2011 season when Real Madrid won the Copa del Rey, and Sergio Ramos accidentally dropped the trophy during the victory parade, which was then run over by a bus. It is reported that the designer arrived at the scene just minutes before the Real Madrid bus reached the Bernabeu, where the entire area had already been cordoned off by police. The designer said: “When I rolled down the car window to explain what happened to the police, I didn’t know if he would believe me. I told him that Ramos had dropped the trophy, that I was the trophy designer, and that there was a spare trophy inside the car. They did not ask me any questions or require me to provide any proof, so I quickly brought the spare trophy to the spot where the bus was parked.” At the bus stop, the designer met two administrators from the Bernabeu. They informed him that they did not want to display the broken trophy outside and asked him to discuss matters in their office. Upon entering the office, the designer found that the trophy was completely damaged. He then handed over the spare trophy to them, and the next day, the administrators took the spare trophy to City Hall for display as if nothing had happened. However, the footage of Ramos dropping the trophy by accident on the bus has become a classic moment.
