He posted pictures from his housewarming celebration, inviting fans to partake in his joyous occasion. “Here’s to new beginnings and cherished memories!” is how Karthik captioned his post.
In the shared photos, the 38-year-old is seen alongside his wife Dipika, both engaging in the traditional rituals of setting up a new home. Karthik, a former wicketkeeper, has transitioned to a role as a commentator and analyst, occasionally participating in franchise league tournaments.
Karthik also recently commented on Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s performance in the T20I series against Afghanistan. After Sharma was dismissed for zero in the first two matches, Karthik noted during his commentary that Sharma had been the team’s sole weak point.
“The only failure has been the skipper. Two naughts in two games but he wouldn’t be too worried about that. Back in this format after a long time. Back as captain. He was run out in the first game. Tried to hit a big one today and lost his stumps but India have done well,” observed Karthik.
Notably, Rohit made a strong comeback, scoring an impressive century in the final T20I of the series. As the T20 World Cup 2024 approaches, Rohit’s form will be crucial for the Indian team.
