[Saba Sports News] Doc Rivers isn’t panicking despite the Milwaukee Bucks falling into a 0-2 hole to start their first-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers.
Milwaukee dropped Game 2 on Tuesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Pacers jumped out to a 15-point first-quarter lead and never looked back, sealing a 123-115 victory. Asked afterward about the Bucks’ slow start and any planned adjustments, Rivers kept his cards close but made his belief in the team clear.
“We’ll just see,” Rivers said. “We have time. We have 48 hours. I’m not going to tell you what I’m doing right now. We’ll figure it out. But I’m very confident in this series. Very.”
One positive for the Bucks was the return of Damian Lillard, who missed Game 1 due to a calf issue related to a blood clot. Lillard showed some rust in his return, scoring 14 points on just 4-of-13 shooting.
Still, he had a late spark, hitting a clutch three-pointer to cut the Pacers’ lead to two with just over two minutes remaining. But Indiana responded decisively, closing the game on an 8-2 run to secure the win and take a commanding 2-0 series lead.
