[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, Borussia Dortmund will receive additional sponsorship on their training kits, although the sponsor has not been finalized and talks are ongoing. German media reported last Saturday that Vodafone will become the new main sponsor, paying €30 million annually to display its logo on the shirt, and it is now confirmed that the multinational group’s logo will appear in black. This is because the company’s name will be printed in red on away jerseys. This compromise is acceptable to both sides, and the agreement currently has a one-year validity. After a year, the color scheme will be reviewed again. In the long term, Borussia Dortmund has the opportunity to earn millions more outside of Vodafone’s massive contract. Reports indicate that Borussia Dortmund has secured the right to use the logo of another sponsor on training kits. While the sponsor has yet to be determined, club management expects to earn an additional €8 million annually from this sponsorship. Therefore, the total amount paid annually by 1&1 (league jerseys) and Evonik (cup jerseys) combined, ranging from €32 million to €35 million, will be surpassed. If Borussia Dortmund performs well next season, the club could even generate over €40 million in total revenue.
