[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, Borussia Dortmund has replaced the pitch at their home stadium, Signal Iduna Park, this week at a cost of €100,000. It is reported that Dortmund typically replaces their home pitch after the European Championship in July; however, the grass did not grow properly, raising concerns about unevenness when their first Champions League home match begins. After their 2-0 victory over Frankfurt in the Bundesliga opener, Dortmund wanted to renovate the pitch. However, due to international match days in September featuring farewell matches for Jakub Blaszczykowski and Łukasz Piszczek, the renovation was postponed until this week. For this renovation, Dortmund did not lay hybrid grass but opted for natural grass as it grows faster. It is reported that Dortmund spent approximately €100,000 on this pitch renovation. It remains to be seen whether Dortmund will achieve better results after this renovation; what do fans of the Yellow Wall think about this?
