[Saba Sports News] The new Club World Cup will be held from June 15 to July 13, 2025, in 11 cities across the United States. The new tournament will feature 32 teams, including Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. Recently, Dortmund’s general manager discussed the club’s level of attention towards this new Club World Cup in a media interview, stating that the club will treat it as seriously as the Champions League. Currently, 32 teams will participate in the 2025 Club World Cup, with each team guaranteed a minimum income of €50 million. For Dortmund, qualifying for the Club World Cup brings approximately €50 million in revenue. Coupled with increased participation bonuses from Champions League reforms and potential income from player sales, Dortmund could theoretically invest up to €100 million in new players for the upcoming season. It is evident that Dortmund values the new Club World Cup as much as the Champions League.
