[Saba Sports News] ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday that Green is expected to rejoin the Warriors’ training facility soon to prepare for his return to the court. Although he will miss the upcoming game against the Denver Nuggets, ongoing discussions are determining his exact return date from the suspension. Progress is being made towards his return.
Green, a former Defensive Player of the Year, has been under an indefinite league suspension since December 13 for a violent incident on the court, where he struck Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the head. Since his suspension, he has missed ten games, during which the Warriors recorded a 6-4 win-loss record.
The Warriors and the NBA coordinated on Green’s suspension, setting specific conditions for his return, including undergoing counseling. The 33-year-old has been absent from the team since then but now appears to have advanced significantly in fulfilling the required criteria. Therefore, it’s likely that Green will be reinstated from his suspension as initially anticipated.
