[Saba Sports News] The Cleveland Cavaliers dominated the Golden State Warriors on Friday, moving to a perfect 10-0 record and leaving a strong impression on Warriors forward Draymond Green.
In the Cavaliers’ 136-117 win, Green saw similarities to Golden State’s signature style, remarking on how Cleveland’s ball movement and teamwork mirrored the Warriors’ approach.
“They beat us with what we’ve beaten teams with for years,” Green said, via Jason Lloyd of The Athletic. “The ball movement, the extra pass—that’s been our staple, and they used it to pick us apart.”
Green’s praise may not be surprising, as Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson was Steve Kerr’s top assistant with the Warriors for three seasons. Despite being undefeated on the road, the Warriors struggled against a red-hot Cavs team, highlighting Cleveland’s impressive start to the season.
