After the match, Ipswich shareholder and famous singer Ed Sheeran unexpectedly interrupted Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim’s interview. In response, Ed Sheeran posted on social media to apologize to Amorim. While Amorim was being interviewed by Sky Sports, Ed Sheeran walked up to greet commentator Jamie Redknapp and then said, “I think Amorim wouldn’t want to talk to me.” Amorim smiled and shook his head, and Sheeran added, “I’m happy to be back in the Premier League,” before leaving. Ed Sheeran wrote on social media, “I’m sorry if I offended Amorim yesterday; I didn’t realize he was being interviewed at the time. I just went over to say hello and goodbye to Jamie Redknapp. I feel a bit awkward now, but life goes on. The match was great; congratulations to everyone involved.”
