[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, England players will be utilizing smart rings to track various physical data. These smart rings, launched by Oura, are capable of detecting sleep quality, body temperature, stress levels, and heart health. Reports indicate that Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi wore this smart ring during training this week, while John Stones had previously adopted its use. In a 2023 interview, Stones shared, “The first thing I do after waking up is check my ring to see how I slept. It’s really addictive.” Throughout Gareth Southgate’s eight-year tenure as England manager, he has been receptive to incorporating various high-tech equipment and technologies. Earlier this year, the Football Association partnered with Google Cloud to incorporate an interactive player profile system into England’s preparations. This system records players’ reactions when they are subbed in or out. Notably, the Oura smart ring retails for up to 500 pounds, with the most affordable set priced at 277 pounds.
