[Saba Sports News] During Liberty Media’s investor conference call, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali revealed that some European races may adopt a rotating format in the future, meaning a Grand Prix could be held every two years. Domenicali stated that many new tracks are eager to join F1 now; as an operator, our choice must always balance economic interests with market growth, which is crucial for further business development. Therefore, if new tracks join in the future, a rotating format would be a feasible option. Current data shows that the latest version of the Concorde Agreement is valid until 2025 and allows for a maximum of 25 F1 races per year. However, Domenicali indicated that future F1 races will remain at 24 events. Fans have expressed no surprise at this news since more countries than ever want to host an F1 Grand Prix. In my opinion, this presents an opportunity to try different race formats that adapt to current economic changes; FIA can use this to compare revenue differences under various models.
