[Saba Sports News] One player is following Lonzo Ball’s path by joining the Chicago Bulls after starting his career with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Wednesday that the Bulls have signed free agent Talen Horton-Tucker to a partially guaranteed deal, giving the Chicago native a chance to make the roster in training camp.
Horton-Tucker, who began his career with the Lakers and contributed to their 2020 championship run, was seen as a potential long-term piece. However, he spent just three seasons in LA before being traded to the Utah Jazz in 2022.
Now 23, Horton-Tucker averaged 10.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists over the last two seasons with the Jazz, occasionally playing point guard. Though he struggles with shot selection and turnovers, his length and athleticism could benefit the Bulls’ revamped backcourt.
