[Saba Sports News] Former Spurs forward Davis Bertans will work out with the Golden State Warriors in hopes of securing a spot for training camp, according to his agent’s Instagram post. After starting his pro career in Europe, Bertans spent his first three NBA seasons with the Spurs and later played for the Wizards, Mavericks, Thunder, and Hornets.
Known for his shooting, Bertans is a career 39.6% from three and has twice been in the mix for Sixth Man of the Year votes. Last season, the 31-year-old averaged 6.7 points in 15.7 minutes per game across 45 games with two teams. He is currently a free agent after being bought out of the final year of his 5-year, $80 million contract signed in 2020.
