[Saba Sports News] According to recent reports from international media, F1 is planning to introduce air conditioning systems in the cockpits of racing cars starting from the August Grand Prix. The aim is to address issues of physical exhaustion and potential collapse faced by drivers during and after races. The plan entails implementing a trial version of the system, where cold air will circulate within the cockpit. This trial will only be conducted in hot weather conditions to evaluate its effectiveness. If successful, air conditioning may become a designated feature in racing cars. This development is welcomed by racing drivers, as it would provide them with a more comfortable environment. F1 has previously attempted similar measures, such as implementing “rain shields” to improve visibility for drivers by reducing splashes during races. However, these attempts proved unsuccessful. We hope that the air conditioning concept will prove beneficial, enhancing the overall experience for drivers in future races.
