[Saba Sports News] According to the latest reports from Singaporean media, changes are coming for the F1 Singapore Grand Prix scheduled for October, primarily concerning the circuit. Notably, a fourth DRS zone has been added between turns 14 and 16. This makes the Singapore circuit equal with the Australian circuit for having the most DRS zones on the F1 calendar, offering drivers more overtaking opportunities and incentivizing teams to attempt two-stop or multi-stop strategies, thereby increasing strategic diversity and spectacle. From a driver fitness perspective, the reduction in the number of corners means less physical strain per lap, somewhat alleviating their physical burden. The editor believes these circuit changes mean drivers will need to complete the race in a shorter time, posing new demands on their rhythm management and strategy formulation. For instance, drivers might need to decide pit stop timings earlier to adapt to the pace changes brought by the circuit modifications.
