[Saba Sports News] In the 6th round of the Premier League, Manchester United suffered a humiliating 1-3 away defeat to Brentford. With only 7 points from 6 league matches, United have equaled their worst-ever start to a season. Over the past two seasons, Manchester United has almost become synonymous with disgrace. To rescue the team from this plight, the club’s hierarchy sacked Erik ten Hag and brought in Ruben Amorim, hoping the latter could replicate his Portuguese success in the Premier League. However, not only has Amorim failed to improve United, but the team has also deteriorated further. Since taking charge, Amorim’s win rate in the Premier League stands at just 27%, with an average of only 1.03 points per match – far lower than Ten Hag’s record. After each loss, Amorim merely emphasizes that he has a plan to turn things around but never specifies the details, raising doubts about his capabilities. Despite external criticism and skepticism, Amorim remains defiant, repeatedly stating that he is not worried about being sacked and claiming the board supports him. It appears Amorim will not resign and intends to leave only with a substantial severance package. United fans have lost all hope in Amorim and are urging the board to dismiss him immediately. Following the 1-3 defeat, the comments section of Manchester United’s social media was flooded with angry fan reactions: “Just disband the team. I can’t watch this anymore,” “Fernandes and Amorim both need to go,” “Amorim, pack your bags and leave now,” “These players have no fighting spirit!” and “Sadly, we can’t even compete against 11 opponents.”
