Sports News] Spanish media has reported an incident involving an extreme
Atletico Madrid fan who hung a puppet of Vinicius Junior, a player from rival
team Real Madrid, on a bridge. This act took place before the Madrid derby in
January. The police were able to identify six members of Atletico Madrid’s
ultra-fan organization as the culprits. However, during Atletico’s Copa del Rey
match against Athletic Club, one of the fans involved was present in the
stands. It’s worth noting that Atletico Madrid officials have stated that
tickets for away games are only sold to members with real-name authentication.
Due to the previous charges made by the police, the fan in question had their
membership suspended, preventing them from purchasing tickets under their own
name. On the day before the game, Atletico Madrid provided a list of 600
traveling fans who had purchased tickets for the match against Athletic Bilbao.
The home team used this list to verify the presence of away fans in the
stadium, and the fan who hung the puppet was not on the authorized list.
