[Saba Sports News] Recently, UEFA’s Club Financial Control Body has launched an investigation into Fenerbahçe, demanding that the club provide explanations regarding the contracts of Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Milan Škriniar, José Mourinho, Diego Carlos and other personnel. It is reported that Hakan Safi, a former director of Fenerbahçe, is suspected of arranging transfers and paying annual salaries through his personal company, a practice that has drawn UEFA’s attention. According to Turkish media, UEFA’s Club Financial Control Body has ordered Fenerbahçe to submit detailed explanations over the contracts of its staff and players. A panel of four investigators and experts has been examining Fenerbahçe’s accounts since January this year. A preliminary report points to procedural irregularities in the contracts of Aktürkoğlu, Mourinho, Diego Carlos and Škriniar, with the case of Kerem Aktürkoğlu attracting particular attention.
The editor believes that with the exposure of flaws in the transfer operations, UEFA has ordered Fenerbahçe to amend the contract terms of Kerem Aktürkoğlu. If violations are ultimately confirmed, UEFA may impose sanctions on Fenerbahçe.
