[Saba Sports News] Recently, Sir Alex Ferguson was spotted in the stands of a Championship match between Cardiff City and Peterborough United. He was there to support his son Darren Ferguson, who is the manager of Peterborough United. Cardiff City won the match 2-1. Ferguson was one of the main highlights of the game, captured on camera sitting in the stands alongside Peterborough’s football director Barry Fry. Fry once trained in the Old Trafford academy but never played for the first team. The commentator specifically pointed out that both Ferguson and Fry have a connection with Manchester United, saying, “I believe we’re all excited to see Ferguson here. Another former Manchester United player, Barry Fry, is also there-he spent four years as a player at Old Trafford.” Darren Ferguson first took charge of the club in 2007 for two years, then returned in 2011 for four years. After that, he managed Doncaster Rovers for four years before returning to Peterborough United in 2019. In 2022, Darren Ferguson stepped down, but he was persuaded to take over the team for a fourth time after Grant McCann was sacked the following year.
