[Saba Sports News] During the 2025 F1 Australian Grand Prix, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc expressed disappointment with the team’s performance, revealing that his race engineer didn’t even inform him of McLaren’s lap times. Leclerc stated that there is a significant speed gap between Ferrari’s car and those of McLaren and Red Bull. In the race, Leclerc finished only 8th, nearly 20 seconds behind champion Lando Norris. In a post-race interview, Leclerc said that Ferrari was completely unable to compete with McLaren and Red Bull during the race, and even lagged behind Mercedes. The gap with Mercedes could have been mitigated through strategy and driver operation; unfortunately, Ferrari’s strategy team made mistakes in this race. Some fans noted that Ferrari had made significant changes to the car during the winter, including replacing the push-rod suspension with a pull-rod suspension, a change that evidently has not yet yielded the expected results.
