[Saba Sports News] The International Automobile Federation (FIA) sent a new version of the driver penalty regulations to all F1 teams mid-week. This new regulation is part of Appendix B of the International Sporting Code and is effective immediately upon release. Compared to the old regulations, the FIA has imposed stricter penalties for misconduct. From now on, if an F1 driver exhibits inappropriate behavior, they may face point deductions or even suspension. For example, if an F1 driver does something improper that the FIA feels caused mental harm or loss, they will be fined. The first violation will result in a fine of 40,000 euros, the second violation will incur another 80,000 euros fine and a one-month suspension. If the same mistake is made a third time, the maximum penalty will be imposed: a fine of 120,000 euros, a one-month suspension, and a deduction of corresponding driver points. The same penalties apply to those who “publicly incite violence or hatred” and those who exhibit “inappropriate behavior,” such as frequently using offensive, insulting, vulgar, disrespectful, or abusive language. Some fans have expressed that the new penalties are not very friendly to F1 drivers. In the new season, if they want to compete normally, they must watch their language.
