[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports,
FIFA is charging sponsors of the new Club World Cup a higher fee than for the
World Cup, amounting to an additional £12 million. Starting in 2025, FIFA will
introduce a new version of the Club World Cup, featuring 32 teams. UEFA will
have 12 participating spots, including the champions of the past four seasons
of the UEFA Champions League and the top eight teams based on the UEFA points
coefficient. Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester City have already qualified.
The new Club World Cup is a key focus of FIFA’s marketing strategy, and they
aim to collect sponsorship fees of £108 million from each global partner, which
is £12 million more than the requirements for the World Cup. The finished Qatar
World Cup has already secured sponsors such as Adidas, Emirates Airlines,
Hyundai, Sony, McDonald’s, Continental, and Budweiser.
