[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, former Mallorca player Jordi Morel is currently facing personal difficulties and has been homeless for several weeks due to arthritis and other health problems. Following the reports, RCD Mallorca contacted Morel and offered him assistance. The club arranged a hospital bed for Morel, reached out to social care services, and provided him with essential daily supplies. Mallorca stated that it fully supports the former professional player and has also provided club resources through the Association of Former Players. In an official statement, the club detailed the action: “The club’s social department has handed over these resources to the Association of Former Players, which has been accompanying and supporting Morel over the past few weeks.” The Association of Former Players has remained in contact with Morel to help him through this difficult period and will arrange accommodation for him after his discharge from hospital.
The editor believes that Mallorca’s timely help to get Jordi Morel out of trouble is truly a lifesaver. The club’s kindness deserves praise. I wish Morel a speedy recovery and a return to normal life as soon as possible.
