[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Fawaz Al Hasawi, former owner of Nottingham Forest, was attacked and stabbed by masked intruders at his home.The 57-year-old Kuwaiti businessman was assaulted in his bedroom while sleeping, suffering stab wounds to his hands and neck injuries.The incident took place in Mayfair, central London. It remains unclear whether any property was stolen.Photos circulating online show Al Hasawi lying in a hospital bed covered in blood, with both hands bandaged.
Al Hasawi’s lawyer has urged police to release more details about the attack, adding that other visitors from the Gulf region fear similar incidents.A keen watch collector, Al Hasawi often displayed his collection on social media.
The Metropolitan Police stated that his injuries are not life-threatening or permanent, and investigations are ongoing.Al Hasawi bought Nottingham Forest in 2012. After nine managers in five years, he sold the club to Evangelos Marinakis in May 2017.
