[Saba Sports News] ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Monday that Gersson Rosas, a seasoned NBA executive, has earned a promotion within the New York Knicks organization. Previously a consultant for the team, the 45-year-old Rosas will now assume the role of Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations.
Rosas brings a wealth of NBA front office experience, having served as an executive for the Houston Rockets, as the general manager of the Dallas Mavericks, and as the president of basketball operations for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
However, his career took a hit in 2021 when he was abruptly fired by the Timberwolves due to an inappropriate relationship with a colleague and allegations of fostering a toxic workplace culture in Minnesota.
Nonetheless, it appears that Rosas is committed to moving forward in New York. He will play a crucial role as a top decision-maker for the Knicks, who are rumored to have significant plans on the horizon.
